2022 has been quite the year here at Crowdcast HQ. Crowdcast v2.0 is officially out of beta and over the past 12 months we’ve created and released so many amazing features.
We’ve redesigned the whole app to be fresh but familiar. There are some really cool new features in place now like the ability to assign in-event roles for co-hosts, moderators, and speakers or the ability to upload presentations and videos directly into the event without having to share your screen. The video and audio quality are higher. You can also have up to 11 people on-screen at a time.
We’ve had 3.7 million attendees in Crowdcast events during 2023, joining over 56,000 events - hosting amazing content from thousands of creators.
This year, the team launched 31 new features. All of these features and integrations aligned with our mission to empower anyone to build community, share their ideas and make a living by doing what they love
Here’s a summary of just 10 of the features we launched this year and how each one will impact your team.
Our direct integration with Stripe makes it easy to get paid for your online courses, workshops, and events. Charge for events, in pretty much any currency you like, either with a fixed amount or sliding scale amount per event. You can also offer coupons or a free ticket option.
We’ve built an iOS app so that your attendees can register for and watch your events from anywhere on the go! They’ll be able to engage in the chat, ask a question and even join you on screen.
Crowdcast’s built-in Studio allows you to level up your events with professional production elements. Customize the style and branding of your event by uploading a logo and background image within the Brandsection of the Studio. The Videos section allows you to upload and share a video from sites like YouTube or Vimeo. Use the Slides & Docs section to upload .pdf, .doc, .ppt or image files from your computer. Finally, the CTAS section of the Studio allows you to set up a call to action button to point to a specified URL. When revealed, the call to action button will appear just below the stage.
We also introduced Studio templates, meaning you can have pre-set templates of backgrounds, overlays and content ready, at the click of a button, to add to any event.
A place for attendees to hang out before they join different sessions in your multisession event. Designed to showcase current live sessions too!
Want to increase your reach and capitalise on your presence on other channels? Hosts can stream content directly from Crowdcast to other platforms, like Facebook, Youtube, Twitch and more.
Crowdcast's analytics give powerful insights into your audience and can help you optimize your marketing strategy. There is a simple overview available on your Analytics Dashboard, and detailed analytics are available as a CSV download. These metrics can help you track and build your audience and learn what's working with your event setup and promotion.
Pull questions and chat on stage
Spotlight questions as you answer them. Also, for even better event engagement, highlight your favorite chat comments onto on the stage
Ok, chat is a big deal, it’s what brings your event to life. Encourage attendees to engage with the live chat and each other through the use of emoji-based chat reactions.
Streamline your workflows and community-building efforts by connecting Crowdcast to the other tools you’re using. We've built a deep integration with Zapier to connect Crowdcast to thousands of additional applications.
Host livestreams for your patrons. This can be a very powerful way to increase your patronage by giving your community a more personal way to connect with you.
It’s been incredible to see how much progress has been made in just 12 months here on Crowdcast. But we are just getting started!
